This talk will introduce the University of Wisconsin / NOAA Physical Sciences Laboratory Linear Inverse Model (UW PSL-LIM) and Cyclo-stationary Linear inverse Model (UW PSL-CSLIM) which are now regularly contributing to the International Research Institute’s monthly ENSO forecast. These statistical-dynamical models provide a bridge between traditional statistical models and full physics-based global climate models.
