Ronya Othmann is a renowned poet and author from Germany. She is known for her award-winning works, including the Mara Cassens Prize-winning novel "Die Sommer," which explores the complexities of identity through Leyla, a character torn between her German and Yazidi heritage. Othmann will read "Die Sommer" excerpts in German, with translations available. Additionally, she will share selected poems from her collection "Die Verbrechen," translated into English by Jon Cho-Polizzi.
