Bridging the Chasm in Languaging and Literacies

Dr. Patriann Smith, Associate Professor at the University of South Florida, and also a candidate for Associate Professor of Literacy in the UW-Department of Curriculum and Instruction will give a talk on racialized entanglements of Englishes and peoples, when considered from the prospective of quantum physics. She will highlight how linguistic innocence functions as a basis for disrupting dichotomies and facilitating students' flourishing with Englishes.
