The ConducTOR: The TARGET OF RAPAMYCIN Orchestrates Plant Development and Metabolism

Event Details

Date
Friday, February 16, 2024
Time

Description
Organisms monitor nutrient availability and environmental conditions to maintain homeostasis and promote growth under favorable conditions. In eukaryotes, TARGET OF RAPAMYCIN (TOR/mTOR) is a conserved protein kinase that orchestrates this balance between homeostasis and growth by monitoring multiple cues. Using forward and reverse genetics, functional genomics, and molecular approaches, my lab investigates how plants sense and respond to nutrients via the TOR signaling network.
