Agate and carnelian beads found in collective tombs at the site of Dibba al-Bayah (Oman), provide new evidence for the complex trade networks and technological traditions that were present in the Late Bronze Age and Early Iron Age of Oman and the larger region of Eastern Arabia. Almost twelve thousand beads of different shape and material have been studied with a special focus on the bleached carnelian beads with white designs.
