Description

The First Nations Cultural Landscape Tour is an award-winning, place-based, walking tour that welcomes guests to learn about the First Nations of Wisconsin and the 14,000+ years of human history in the area known as Teejop (Four Lakes) and Madison. Participants visit UW-Madison campus buildings, historical markers, and archaeological sites to discuss historic - and contemporary - relationships with First Nations. Open to guests age 18 and older.

This is a walking tour that will begin at the Memorial Union Information Desk and conclude at the top of Bascom Hill. The walking tour is not fully physically accessible due to sustained periods of walking over various terrain such as stairs and inclines in elevation (e.g. Bascom Hill). Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.

THIS TOUR IS FULL. Tours cap at 25 participants each and are expected to fill up quickly. Sign-up is first come first served until filled.
