Ubuntu as Concept and Practice: From Abstraction to Application, and Back

Ubuntu is an African sociocentric philosophy rooted in the idea of collective humanity and interdependence. The session is designed to equip participants with useful tools for theorizing, activating, diffusing, and applying Ubuntu as philosophy, epistemology, methodology, and pedagogy at individual, community, and institutional levels. Participants will have the opportunity to consider how Ubuntu might be drawn upon to confront the complex and intertwined local and global challenges we face.
