AOS Department Seminar - Harrison Tran

Harrison Tran, AOS graduate student, will discuss how non-automated shipboard present weather reports made during the 70-year period from 1950 to 2019 are used to reconstruct relative frequencies and long-term trends in four classes of precipitation: i) drizzle, ii) moderate or heavy intensity non-drizzle, iii) non-drizzle associated with deep convection or thunderstorms, and iv) frozen-phase precipitation.
