Description
Kristin Thompson personally selected Lubitsch's Design for Living as the capstone to the "Movies, Media and Methods" symposium held today in her honor. This notoriously loose 1933 adaptation of Noël Coward's Broadway hit is about a woman (Hopkins), the two men who love her (Cooper and March) and their scandalous, mutual decision to "forget sex." It's scintillating, chic, just a tad triste -- and all Lubitsch. Restored print!
