Description
Marvin Birnbaum, MD, emeritus professor and former director of emergency medical services at UW Hospital, will discuss the efforts following the 2004 tsunami, the 2005 adoption of the Framework for Action in Hyogo, Japan, and the development of conceptual and research evaluation frameworks and humanitarian reform. This background will lead to discussion of what efforts are taking place now at UW and in Haiti, Chile and throughout the world.
