Exploits are software hacks that expose a gap in a system. Jim Brown's (Department of English) presentation examines two exploits involving the microblogging platform Twitter, the “MouseOver exploit,” which triggered a public conversation about software, hacking, and security and the OAuth security protocol which opened a different kind of conversation, confined to the programmers and companies that had designed it.
