Description
Jack Jiang, M.D., Ph.D., professor, School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Surgery. This presentation covers topics in vocal science and vocal effort. An overview of the principles of vocal fold vibration is presented, followed by a discussion of vocal fold biomechanics. Tissue properties, vocal fold tension and impact pressure are discussed in order to present the topics relevant to the development of vocal fold pathologies.
