Presented by Emily Despins, master’s student, Communication and Cognition Laboratory, Department of Communicative Disorders, Lyn Turkstra, Ph.D., professor. There is growing evidence that outcomes for men and women with traumatic brain injury (TBI) differ in many ways, from basic injury outcomes such as mortality (Farace & Alves, 2000), to societal expectations for social performance.
