Description
Examine the culture, history, and art of the Dordogne region of France through the lens of a mystery, Murder in Lascaux (UW Press, 2011), and a memoir, A Castle in the Backyard (UW Press, 2006). The co-authors explore the region's prehistoric art, the medieval sect of the Cathars, and the war years, while also discussing the process of transforming personal experience into fiction. Also meets Apr. 11 and 18.
