Alvin Ailey Performance Introduced by Dance Professor

One of the seminal companies in American Dance - Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater - will return to Overture Hall for the first time under its new artistic director, Robert Battle. UW Assistant Professor of Dance Chris Walker will give a talk on the company's place in the American and African American experience, and how it's history was shaped by specific cultural influences and voices.
