Rabbi Allen of the Beth Jacob Congregation in Mendota Heights, Minn. has long been an advocate for social justice. His actions on behalf of immigrant workers in the meatpacking industry, and his leadership to create a "justice certification” to ensure kosher food workers are treated in a humane and dignified manner, resulted in his being named one of America's "50 most significant Jewish leaders." He will speak about his “quest for social justice through the reform of workplace conditions."
