Description
Follow English War Poetry from the conventional, patriotic verse of 1914 through the new realism of Wilfred Owen and Isaac Rosenberg, the memory of the war established by Edmund Blunden and Siegfried Sassoon, and the epic prose poem "In Parentheses" by David Jones. We conclude with a study of a new voice in the poetry of Keith Douglas, soldier poet of WWII.
