As duchess of Aquitaine, queen of France, and later queen of England, Eleanor of Aquitaine was one of the wealthiest, most powerful and fascinating women of the Middle Ages. This 4-part illustrated series explores the exciting events of her long and turbulent life, medieval queenship, royal patronage of the arts and literature, and the Queen's role in the Crusades. This course also looks at a number of medieval monuments associated with her amazing life.
