In the typical Medical Model of Care used in much of healthcare, the role of the social worker is often viewed (sometimes subtly and sometimes not so subtly) as being of less importance than the work of nurses. This 1-day workshop focuses on the importance of the social work component in healthcare and how that importance will grow in the future.
