Description
Science and religion are usually regarded as enduring features of the cultural landscape of the West. However, this view is misleading. In fact, only in recent centuries have science and religion come to be seen as discrete activities conducted in isolation from one another. Professor Harrison will discuss the history of this notion of science and religion as distinct and separate activities and its implications for how we understand contemporary relations between science and religion.
