In the seventh annual Michael B. Petrovich Lecture features, Louise McReynolds uses crime fiction in nineteenth-century Russia as a means to understanding that society. The lecture is supported by the Alice D. Mortenson/Petrovich Chair of Russian History, established by History alumna Mortenson in honor of Petrovich, a popular teacher at UW-Madison. A reception will follow McReynolds's presentation.
