Our Galaxy's biggest, brightest stars can form vast glowing ghostly structures that astronomers call magnetospheres. Prof. Richard Townsend from the UW-Madison Astronomy Department will explain how he uses polarized starlight to map these magnetospheres and what we we can learn from them.
