Weston Roundtable: Professor Robert Lassiter

A new electrical energy paradigm

Event Details

Description
America's electrical power system is one of the top engineering achievements of the 20th century. Abundant electric power distributed benefits widely to both cities and farms. Today we need higher efficiencies, fewer emissions, and more renewables. Progress can be achieved by moving generation sources close to their loads for effective use of waste heat and increased reliability. The management and control of tens of thousands of small sources is daunting. Possible approaches will be addressed.
