A lecture by Elena Phipps, Senior Research Scholar, Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC; past president, Textile Society of America

Dr. Phipps will discuss the intersections between the history, technical advancements, cultural traditions and the rise of the global trade of textile dyes throughout the Americas, Asia and India from the 16th to 18th centuries.
