Description
The Linda and Gene Farley Center for Peace, Justice & Sustainability's most unique feature is the Natural Path Sanctuary, its natural cemetery. Comprised of 25 meadow and wooded acres, the cemetery has returned to the traditional burial practices that were used in the U.S. until the mid 19th century, and are still practiced in many countries around the world. The sanctuary's philosophy is to disturb the natural ecosystem as little as possible, and to allow nature to take its course.
