Description
Union South hosts a weekly farmer's market every Thursday from 10am - 2pm, September 3rd through October 22 featuring local and organic products from area vendors.
Vendors include Parrfection Produce a co-op of farmers from Monroe, Munchkey Apples grown locally in Mount Horeb, Babcock Hall Dairy, Savory Accents, the Bucky's Butchery, Tummy Yummies, Wisconsin Union Catering, Amazing Grace Family Farm and more. "Last year was my first year in business, and the Campus Farmer's Market was my favorite market! The people are the #1 reason. I love being a part of the 'campus' hustle and bustle. The students and staff who make the market possible are so supportive. My fellow vendors were kind and friendly. What more could I ask for? I even love the train whistle as it rolls by! I am thrilled to be back for the 2015 season." - Cheri, Tummy Yummies Gluten-free Treats."Purchases from vendors like, Tummy Yummies, help build capacity for our local farmers and producers and allow us to bring a fresher more sustainable product to our customers." - Carl Korz, Assistant Director of Dining Services.
