The climate crisis poses many risks to health: heat waves, famines, weather-sensitive infectious diseases, extreme storms, sea level rise and infrastructure collapse. Yet climate mitigation policies could have enormous health benefits — improved air quality and physical fitness from active transport. These represent the Silver Lining of action to confront today’s global climate crisis. In short, climate change actions offer possibly the greatest health benefits in more than a century.
