Description
Accurate crop production data help ensure food security. The use of satellite imagery to collect this information has been a promise for decades. Unfortunately, it has been restricted to research. However, through the continued improvements of systems like Landsat and MODIS, the ability to measure crop productivity from space is finally advancing from promise to reality. This seminar will highlight ways that the USDA is incorporating earth observation data into its crop reporting systems.
