Many of the developing world’s economic, health and social issues are directly related to land. Spatial thinking and analysis of land related issues helps answer important questions:

• Where are these problems concentrated?
• Will analyzing data in new ways reveal root causes?
• What patterns can we recognize?
• What actions can be taken to produce more stable outcomes and sustainable societies?

James Dobbin will present results from work in Guinea, Mozambique, and Tanzania.
