High Temperature Corrosion in Gaseous Environments: Complex and Fascinating Phenomena

Event Details

Date
Friday, February 19, 2016
Time
3:30 p.m.
Description
High temperature corrosion is a major concern for many industrial applications. This is especially true for Gen IV nuclear power plants, some of which involve high temperatures and complex environment. Through the study of various Gen IV nuclear reactors, the French Atomic Commission (CEA) has been actively involved in the understanding material degradation at high temperatures in complex harsh environments.
