Communicating the workload of a course helps students channel their time and intellectual effort toward what is most critical. This session will help instructors build transparency into course and assignment workload expectations. 

In this session, you will:  

  1. Estimate the amount of time it should take students to complete activities outside the classroom.
  2. Develop strategies for communicating course workload expectations.
  3. Examine options for collecting feedback about students’ workload experiences.
  4. Reflect on and apply lessons learned from remote instruction.
