A Journey of Understanding Nonignorable Missingness and Some Reflections

Event Details

Date
Friday, March 25, 2022
Time

Description
In this talk, Dr. Zhao will first introduce some fundamental differences between ignorability and nonignorability and two methods that can produce asymptotically valid estimates under nonignorability: one based on the conditional independence assumption and the second on the geometric structure of the semiparametric model. Finally, he will discuss some relations of this line of research with sensitivity analysis as well as some statistical problems under distribution shifts.
