Summary: ML+Coffee brings together ML practitioners across campus so that we can connect with one another, discuss and work on ML projects, and enjoy some light (caffeinated) refreshments ☕. 

Where: Room 1145, Discovery Building (330 N. Orchard St.).

When: Monthly on Wednesdays, 9-11am CT. Fall dates include: 9/10, 10/8, 11/5, and 12/17.

Schedule - Nov 4

  • 9:00-9:30am (Networking): Grab a coffee and meet fellow ML/AI practitioners on campus.
  • 9:30-10:00am (Discussion / Seeking Help): Protein Engineering with MaveDB — David Dávila Vilanova. We will discuss our current approach for the MaveDB Kaggle challenge, as part of MLM25. Looking for feedback and suggestions!
  • 10:00-11:00am (TBA): Have a demo, paper, or ongoing project to discuss? Join the fall discussion queue: forms.gle/F5LYqnY5TMiZrzXW6. If there are no volunteers, Chris will share a few artifacts/resources from MLM25 that may be of use to researchers who want to explore cloud computing or GPUs in their work.
