"Food systems," or the network of production, distribution and consumption of food, affect the health and livelihood of Wisconsin residents.
Over 270,000 Wisconsinites have limited access to healthy foods.
State agencies have a role in farm-to-school and nutrition programs.

This briefing will discuss the effect of food systems and farm-to-institution programs on population health and agricultural economies, and present evidence for the Legislature to consider in the upcoming session.
