Food historian Massimo Montanari is a professor of Medieval History and Food History at the University of Bologna (Department of History and Cultures). He has held seminars and lectures all over Europe, Japan, Canada, the United States, Mexico, Colombia, and Brazil. He is the founder and director of the M.A. Program “Food History and Culture” founded at the University of Bologna in 2002.
