Come hear UW-Madison communication arts professor Lyn Van Swol speak at our colloquium!
Lyn will discuss three studies of charged political group discussion (climate change, the candidacy of Donald Trump, and whether “under God” should be in the pledge of allegiance). Then, she'll examine how discussion of shared information leads to more influence of both majorities and minorities, and offer a path forward towards understanding someone with a different opinion.
