The vice provost for information technology and chief information officer (VP-IT/CIO) leads the campus effort in developing and furthering the overall IT strategic plan. The CIO works with central administration, college deans and information officers, and faculty, staff, and students through governance groups. Providing close collaboration among and between all IT groups is an important part of the VP-CIO.
