Be Sisters with Us: Midwestern Nuns, Environmental Justice, and the United Farm Worker Boycott, 1950-1975

This presentation examines the role that Midwestern nuns and Catholic laywomen had in promoting social and environmental justice for farmworkers in CA. It will also discuss the work that Christian laywomen conducted for migrant workers’ rights.
