Description
Across the United States, Black girls are suspended, arrested, and detained at increasing rates. And yet, little research exists on the factors contributing to these troubling patterns across race and gender, particularly in public opinion research. Dr. Nuamah uses an original survey experiment of Americans to determine the public perceptions shaping Black girls and their punitive consequences. Sally A. Nuamah is an award-winning scholar, author, advocate, and filmmaker. More info in Zoom desc.
