Equity and inclusion in course design and teaching are key to success for all students. Four core elements of equitable, inclusive teaching (relationship, access, design, and pedagogy) promote student persistence, retention and satisfaction. In this session, you will:
- Apply one or more elements of equitable and inclusive teaching to your practice or your courses.
- Adopt an iterative approach to continuously foster more inclusive and equitable spaces and interactions over time.
This workshop is part of Teaching at UW: Pre-Semester Course Preparation. Participants are encouraged to attend all four pre-semester workshops.
