Description
Elaine Yuan’s research focuses on how new and emerging forms of communication mediate various social institutions and cultural practices. Her talk will focus on her recent book (Univ of Toronto Press, 2021), which examines the role of the internet as symbolic spaces for the changing cultural practices of privacy, nationalism, and the network market in China.
