Description

As you encounter students from a variety of linguistic backgrounds, how might you embrace this as a reservoir of creativity and new thinking in your teaching? In this session, we will discuss how to develop a “translingual disposition” as instructors and seek opportunities to allow students to use their linguistic repertoires in their learning. We’ll explore options for self expression across a variety of disciplines and look at successful examples from different fields. Featuring Emily Hall, director of Writing Across the Curriculum.
