- DescriptionEggers is the author of six previous books, including “A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius.” He is the founder and editor of McSweeney’s and co-founder of 826 Valencia. Valentino Achak Deng has toured worldwide speaking about his life in Sudan, his experience as a refugee, and his collaboration with Dave Eggers on "What Is the What," the novelized version of Deng’s life story.
