Description
Hanns Eisler (1898-1962) was one of the most fascinating and controversial German composers of the 20th century. In a series of highly entertaining recorded conversations, he spoke in lively detail of his life, his music, his theater works with Berthold Brecht and his years in Hollywood as an exile from Hitler’s Germany. This show brings Eisler’s conversational style to life on the stage, accompanied by short selections from his music and visual records of his turbulent life.
