We are having a series of speakers coming to campus as candidates for this position. Each of their talks will focus on a topic about Hmong Americans. Dr. Ava Yang holds a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Her professional work has included research, teaching, counseling, evaluation, and consultation. Dr. Yang is currently a visiting assistant professor at UW-Madison where she teaches Hmong American studies courses in the Asian American Studies Program.
