Lunch and Learn: Smiles Across the Globe with Professor Paula Niedenthal

People smile in most countries. Do these expressions mean the same thing? Professor Niedenthal will give a 30-minute talk on the topic of the smile. She will also present the results of two cross-cultural studies that help us understand each other, with a focus on separating cliches from reality. She will also answer questions about understanding facial expressions other than the smile and how research on this topic is conducted!
