Description
Have you ever wondered why whole milk comes with a big, red “Vitamin D” label? Why does one nutrient get such a prominent place on the carton? The answers involve dairy, science, & the UW. But the history also involves lab rats, oatmeal, margarine, a professor named Steenbock, an organization called WARF, and a court case that went to the Supreme Court. Because of the research & the patent, the funding of research and the commercialization of scientific discoveries would never be the same.
