Prediction Performance Measures for Time-to-Event Data

Event Details

Date
Friday, November 14, 2025
Time
12-1 p.m.
Description
Dr. Li will discuss how conventional performance metrics for time-to-event data may yield undesirable results when comparing prediction models or algorithms. He will introduce a novel time-dependent pseudo R-squared measure and demonstrate its utility as a prediction performance metric for uncensored and right-censored time-to-event data. Finally, Dr. Li will discuss the risks of extending this model to competing risk scenarios and popular epidemiologic designs.
