Grammar 2: Grammar and Editing for Style and Clarity
Wednesday, February 22, 2017
6172 Helen C. White Hall
In this workshop, we'll review principles for writing grammatically correct and stylistically clear phrases, clauses, and sentences. We'll discuss common problems like misplaced modifiers, faulty parallelism, comma splices, and sentence fragments. We'll also emphasize building a “self-editing” checklist which participants will develop by applying workshop principles to a piece of their own writing. A solid grasp of English grammar or Grammar I is recommended before attending this workshop.
